The instructor teaches each session with the assumption that participants have some familiarity with foundational concepts such as secondary trauma and empathic strain, and how these concepts impact helping professions.
While we invite anyone who is passionate about the importance of sustainable, ethical, and trauma-informed practices within the workplace to attend these sessions, they are not intended as an introduction to these topics.
This session will offer practical tools to recognize and respond to moral distress, and build the moral courage needed to act with integrity in complex systems.
