What kind of training and education do you offer?

TEND develops evidence-informed training and education that is designed to support “helping professionals” to understand and address the natural effects of working in trauma-exposed and high-stress environments.

 

What is a “helping professional”?

The terms “helping professional” or “caring professional” are used to describe those whose role is to help, care-for or protect others. Some examples include: healthcare professionals, first responders, lawyers, judges, counsellors, therapists, teachers, funeral workers, customer service representatives, and so a many more.

 

Do you offer virtual options?

All of our training and education options are available virtually.

 

How does a virtual session work?

Once a TEND Training has been coordinated, our team send you a zoom link to distribute to your invited participants. This link allows anyone you send it to, to register for the scheduled virtual training. Once registered, individuals will receive a reminder email with the link to the virtual training session.

On the day of the scheduled TEND Training, a TEND IT representative and the TEND Trainer will log in to the zoom link 15 minutes prior to the start of the virtual training session.

The TEND Trainer begins and ends the virtual training at the pre-determined times.

If the session is a 60-minute webinar, you will receive a link to an on-demand version of that webinar following the real-time delivery. This on-demand version can be distributed by you, to anyone originally invited to participate, (this video is not to be made publicly available) and can be viewed for up to 30 days.

Longer and customized virtual training sessions are not recorded.

 

Do you do live “in person” training?

Yes, but as a result of current restrictions, our team are not able to travel or present in-person at this time. Luckily, things are rapidly changing, and we are looking forward to working with you in-person again. If you would like to explore an in-person training in the future, we would be happy to explore the options with you.

 

Do you have large group pricing options?

We sure do. Send us an email and we will be happy to send you some options.

 

Do you offer counselling services?

We don’t offer counselling or therapy services but if you need a hand, let us know and we will do what we can to point you in the right direction.

 

Do you offer consulting services?

We do offer consulting services to individuals and organizations looking for professional advice, guidance and assistance.

 

Do you have any free resources?

We sure do. There are articles, downloadable resources, podcasts and videos in our Resources section.

 

What are your payment options?

We accept Visa and Mastercard or you can pay by cheque or paypal.

For Canadian clients we can accept EFT.
