Kay Glidden is a compassion fatigue specialist, trauma-informed care trainer and mindfulness
educator. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Augustana College and a Master of Science Degree in Education from Indiana University. Kay began her began her career in higher education, counseling and teaching college students for 13 years.
Her experience stems from over 30+ years as a mental health professional, human resources specialist and working in the Nebraska public behavioral health system. Kay served on a team for the National Council for Behavioral Health’s first National Learning Community for trauma-informed care.
She teaches mindfulness to youth in her local school district and is a trainer for Mental Health First Aid, compassion fatigue and emotional trauma trainings.
Kay and Beth have trained over 3,000 human services professionals, youth serving organizations, healthcare staff, educators, law enforcement/first responders, behavioral health care staff and funeral directors on compassion fatigue, trauma-informed care and behavioral health issues for the last 10 years.
Their training/consultation company, Compassion Resiliency, promotes the well-being of professionals who work in high stress/trauma work environments.
