Workplace Wellness Series #2 – Compassion Fatigue Level Two
Advanced training on Compassion Fatigue, Secondary Trauma and Moral Distress – Proven Strategies that Work!
Monday September 16th, 2019
8:30AM – 12:00PM
Instructor: Françoise Mathieu, M.Ed., CCC., RP
How do we move beyond the basics of self-care and well-being? What works in ensuring our ability to remain healthy and balanced while working in highly challenging, complex work environments?
We now have over two decades of research proving that high stress, trauma-exposed professions carry elements of risk to the service provider: compassion fatigue, secondary trauma, burnout and moral distress can take a cumulative toll on us as individuals and as teams.
What we do to protect ourselves and remain healthy at home and at work? Using the most recent research in the field, this workshop will offer best practice approaches to transforming these occupational hazards beyond the basics.
