Train the Trainer Program

Please note that the instructor teaches the TEND Train the Trainer Program with the assumption that participants are familiar with the concepts of empathic strain (also known as compassion fatigue) and secondary traumatic stress and that they understand the impact these "occupational hazards" can have on helping professionals.

To participate in the TEND Train the Trainer Program, participants must complete the online course Compassion Fatigue 101 prior to the beginning of this program. Access to this online course is included in your registration.

If you have already completed Compassion Fatigue 101, we encourage you to review the material and concepts prior to beginning the TEND Train the Trainer Program.

At this time, you may choose to pay the Full Course Fee or a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 CAD.

If paying the deposit only, the remainder of the course fee is due on or before Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

We reserve the right to cancel this course should the number of registrations be insufficient. We are not responsible for any costs that may be incurred by the cancellation of this course.

In the event that TEND cancels this program, all course fees including deposits will be returned to participants.

• If you choose to cancel your registration on or before Monday, January 29, 2024, you will receive a refund of your course fee minus the registration deposit of $500.00 CAD. This deposit can be put towards a future program.
• If you have already received the materials for this course prior to cancelling, you will be responsible for this cost ($250.00 CAD + Tax)
• No refunds will be issued on or after Tuesday, January 30, 2024. A colleague may attend in your place.
