Research on employee well-being shows that who you report to matters more than where you work. Yet, due to limited training budgets, many organizations focus their secondary traumatic stress (STS) reduction initiatives at front line staff, rather than providing guidance to supervisors and leaders.
Drawing on the recent publication Principles for STS-Responsive Practice: An Expert Consensus Approach (Bride et al., 2024), this training explores best-practice organizational principles, and offers practical guidance for supervisors and leaders to strengthen STS-responsive practices in their workplaces.
